3 August 1852 permission granted to marry Mary Dwyer ("Maria" convicted Limerick, Ireland in 1848). Married 23rd August 1852 at St Joseph's RC. Samuel died of suffocation when a tree fell on him on Huon Rd. He was buried in a paupers grave. I have not found children.

Samuel was transported for stealing a gown and a cloak. This is a few of his offences Having flour in his possession 2 months hard labour in chains. Being found in the bush with a fire at 4 in the morning probation extended. Misconduct in the lose of his bedding 3 days solitary. Making away with his trousers 12 stripes on the back. Misconduct in having some flour in his bed tick admonished. Having carrots in his possession hard labour. Under the influence of liquor ten days solitary. Accidental death 1\8\1867.
