Henry Richardson, aged 31, a blacksmith, from Kettles Hulme, for stealing a quantity of nets, … Chester Chronicle, 13 April 1810. Chester Assizes. Henry Richardson, 31, from Kettles Hulme, for stealing a number of nets, the property of Richard Leigh, Esq. and the Rev G Heron;  and also for burglariously entering the dwelling house of Robert Harrison, Lyme Handley, and robbing him of about 20s in silver, and four one pound banknotes— Death. Manchester Mercury, 8 May 1810. ------------------------------------------------------------- Hulk Records. HO-9-4_1 Woolwich hulks- Prudentia/Retribution and Justitia. Page 39/50 Received the 21 June 1810. Henry Richardson, age 31, Felony, Tried Chester, 25 Apr 1810. NSW Life. Transported 27 Feb 1811.

Tried and convicted of Burglary at Chester Session of Pleas on 25th April 1810, sentenced to transportation for life. Left England on 12th May 1811. Ship:- the 'Admiral Gambier' sailed with 200 male convicts on board of which 3 died during the voyage. Arrived on 29th September 1811. Married Elizabeth Nowland (daughter of convicts Michael Nowland, 'Sarborough' 1790 & Elizabeth Richards, 'Lady Juliana' 1790) on 26th December 1814 at Windsor, they had 3 children between 1815-1820. Henry was in partnership with Michael Nowland jnr, they ran a Blacksmith bussiness in Windsor, the partnership was dissolved in 1821. Sydney Gazette Saturday 29th September 1821 p. 2 NOTICE. - The Public are hereby respectfully informed, that the Partnership lately subsisting between MICHAEL NOWLAND, jun, and HENRY RICHARDSON, Blacksmith at Windsor is this Day dissolved by mutual consent; and that from and after this Day, neither of the said Parties will be responsible for any Debts contracted by the other. MICHAEL NOWLAND, jun HENRY RICHARDSON By 1823 Elizabeth had left Henry and was living with James Rochester (son of convicts Henry Rochester, 'Royal Admiral' 1792 & Margaret Hayes, 'Marquis Cornwallis' 1796), they had 10 children between 1824-1843, they married in 1850 after the death of Henry.

Elizabeth is found elsewhere.... [Ref R1187] Rochester, Elizabeth, 30, born in colony. (# note in appendix Rochester or Richardson).

Henry and Elizabeth had three children; Henry 1815, John 1817 and Elizabeth 1820. However, it would seem that the couple the split up and Elizabeth was soon thereafter living with James Rochester. They then had 10 children.

In the colony, Henry married Elizabeth Nowland, December 26th 1814 at Windsor. Elizabeth was born in the colony, the daughter of Michael Nowland (Convict, Scarborough, 1790) and his wife Elizabeth nèe Richards (Convict, Lady Juliana, 1790).
