Edinburgh Court of Justicary: Trial papers relating to Ralph Riddle for the crime of theft, habit and repute, and previous conviction. Tried at High Court, Edinburgh Dates 20 Jan 1834. Accused Ralph Riddle, son of Ralph Riddle, Verdict: Guilty, Verdict Comments: Guilty in terms of own confession, Sentence: Imprisonment - 18 months Previous convictions: theft. Note: Pannel cannot write. 9 Nov 1835. Trial papers relating to Ralph Riddle, Richard MacLeod for the crime of theft and previous conviction. Tried at High Court, Edinburgh. Ralph Riddle, son of Ralph Riddle, sawyer, Verdict: Guilty, Verdict Comments: Guilty in terms of own confession, Sentence: Transportation - 7 years Previous convictions: theft Richard MacLeod, son of Thomas McLeod, Verdict: Guilty, Sentence: Transportation - 7 years Previous convictions: theft. March 1841: Absconded from Stockade Twenty-mile Hollow, since 12th inst. Ralph was then: 21, labourer, 4’5½” tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes, slight scar back of left hand. Ralph is not listed on the NSW Gov. Records and after 1841 no other records of him found.
