Robert Roach was convicted at Liverpool on 17/03/1845 for stealing (a handkerchief). 2nd convictions (prev. for stealing money). 10yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Equestion 2' arriving 15 Oct 1845. Aged 20yrs; native place - Limerick; tailor; 5'8"; ruddy complexion; drk brown hair; grey eyes; Roman Catholic; reads & writes. Record states married, 1 child but he later stated he was single and never married. Father: Robert Brother: Robert Sister: Eliza Station Gang: Nicholls Rivulet Ticket of Leave 30/09/1851 Died at hospital Avoca, Tasmania 30/12/1852.
