Convict Notes
Robert was 19 years old on arrival, he was slightly pockpitted, mole on right side of his neck, light hazel eyes, dark brown hair, 5'3 1/2" tall, Father William at Coventry, also a ribbon weaver. His Mother was Martha Kelsey. 1830: TOL 1834: CP 12/8/1845: COF. 14/8/1835: Hobart Town Courier: Took over the business of William Presnell, a Tanner of Collins St. 7/4/1834: Married Sarah Newall(29/7/1812 London died 6/6/1891 in Enmore NSW. 22/3/1851: EXPIRED SUDDENLY: Robert Scarborough expired suddenly immediately after paying the wages of the men in his employ. Mr Scarborough had long been under medical treatment, but the immediate cause of death was overexcitement, which produced a determination of blood to the head. He leaves a widow and several children to mourn his loss. Sarah then married Williams Phillips on 27/5/1852 in Launceston.
