George Robinson was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 13th Jul 1829 and arriving 14th Dec 1829 with 200 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

1829 - Conduct Record. CON31-1-34. Indent No; 592 Trial; 6 Aug 1828 - Northumberland Transported for Horse Stealing. Attempted to break out of Prison Hulk. Status; Married - 1 child at Newcastle upon Tyne 1830- 27 July. Laziness and neglect of duty - 50 lashes 1832 - 28 May. Absent from his masters premises at 9 o'clock at night with-out a pass - Reprimanded 1832 - 26 Sept. Absent from his masters premises & drunk. 6 months hard Labour and discharged from his service 1833 - 11 Nov. Robbing the main on the King's Highway. Also Feloniously putting Jno. Landford in for of his life, robbing him. Also Putting Thomas Towns? in fear of his life and robbing him. Committed for Trial. 1833 - Colonial Sentence; 3 Dec 1833. To be Hanged 1833 - Executed at Hobart Town - 24 Dec 1833
