20/3/1844 Derby Mercury Derbyshire, England: Samuel Robinson, of Stanley, and George Hazlehurst, of Barlborough, charged with stealing a quantity of wheat, and oats, the property of Jane Wingfield and Hannah Wilson. George Hazlehurst was also onboard. Samuel Robinson was listed as 48 years old on arrival in VDL - he was born at Stapely. Samuel was 5'6¾" tall, literate, ruddy complexion dark brown hair, dark brown to grey whiskers, blue eyes, stout made, nearly bald, breast hairy, scar over right eyebrow. Married with 4 children, wife Anne. Father: John Mother: Mary Sisters: Mary and Hannah - at native place. 25/9/1849: TOL
