An inquest was held at Hobart Town, on the 10th ultimo and adjourned to the 16th, upon the body of William Christopher Reynolds, F.S., per Duncan, aged about 55 yrs. Verdict--Drowned himself, bein at the time temporarily of unsound mind. Tasmania Police Gazette, 23nd Aug 1872, p127.

William received his ticket of leave 17\4\1849. Written under that just says committed suicide and not dated.
