Thomas Rosseter was transported on the Kitty, departing 31st Dec 1791 and arriving 18th Nov 1792 with 32 passengers.
The 'Kitty' merchant built ship at Sunderland in 1787. In 1790 she carried slaves from the Gold Coast to Jamaica. Then in 1792 she transported convicts and goods from England to New South Wales, Australia. Voyage to Australia: After leaving England in March 1792 she sprung a leak and had to return to Spithead for repairs, departing again in April. 8 of the 10 male prisoners escaped. Only 30 female convicts, 3 died during the voyage. Carried supplies of stores and provisions for the Colony.

New South Wales, Australia, Convict Indents Date of Conviction; 26 Oct 1791 THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE OLD BAILEY Description; Aged 21. 5 feet 6 ins. light Brown hair Grey Eyes Born in London Labourer. 424. THOMAS ROSSITER and EDWARD MILLAN were indicted for stealing, on the 26th of September , one mahogany knife case, twelve knives and twelve forks, and one tea caddy, value 30 s. the goods of Ebenezer King . The prisoners called two witnesses, who gave them a good character. THOMAS ROSSITER , EDWARD MILLAN , GUILTY . Transported for seven years .
