Family connections for Sarah (Rowley) may be: ROWLEY Sarah (Rowley) was tried at Stafford Assizes Staffordshire, sentenced to 7years & arrived in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) on 10 1 1833 after a voyage of 4.5months on FRANCES CHARLOTTE. She may have married John (Crahan/Monks/Crawn) on 7 4 1841. [This information taken from this Website] John (Crahan/d/Monks/Crawn) was born in about 1806 on Norfolk Island. He was recorded as off stores with his mother at Hobart Town on 2 10 1818. He was named in 1822 as one of the first students (age18) to attend if an evening school was formed. He was convicted w/brother James of stealing pigs from Henry (Oakes) of New Norfolk at Hobart Supreme Court in August 1827 & sentenced to 7years to be served at Macquarie Harbour. In October 1827, following claim of innocence & support from settlers they were sent to Maria Island instead.
