Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Rodney' arriving 20 Dec 1851. Single man; aged 26yrs; 5'4 1/4"; brickmaker & lime burner; Protestant; can read & write, a little. Native Place of birth: nr (?) Father: James Mother: Elizabeth Sister: Elizabeth Brother: James Assigned to work services, mainly in the north of the Colony of VDL. 3 March 1856: Certificate of Freedom issued, at Campbell Town, Tasmania. Note on record: "Again convicted", at a later date.
