One of the convicts who escaped from the Colony 12/09/1816 having seized the brig ‘Trial’. No trace of them was found despite attempts to trace them. The wreck of the ‘Trial’ was however found. Some were believed to have gone bush or went in a small boat made from the shipwreck.
