n.b. There are two (2) Catherine Ryan's on this voyage of the 'Hope' 1842. Catherine Ryan was convicted at Limerick on 26 Oct 1841 for administering a poison. 15 yr sentence. Gaol Report: Quiet Ship Surgeon's Report: Quiet and orderly. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Hope' arriving 17 Aug 1842. Single woman. 12 April 1844: 3rd Class Female Convict Admitted to hospital Died (date not recorded on Conduct Record)
