Joseph Ryan was convicted at Kings for stealing a gate. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land on the ‘Richard Webb’ arriving 3 April 1842.

Single; aged 25yrs; Roman Catholic; labourer; can read & write; 5’7 1/2”.
Native place - Tipperary
Father - John
Mother - Catherine (also transported to VDL on the ‘Hope’ 1842.
