Convict Notes
Samuel Terrington was 5'2¼" tall, dark complexion, dark hair, blue eyes. Born near Swafham - no age given. Married, wife Elizabeth (James) and 5 children at native place, near Swaffham. 17/2/1843: TOL 25/2/1845: Recommended that his CP be extended to all Colonies. 15/1/1846: CP Extended. Samuel made application for Elizabeth and children to be brought to Australia. 3/3/1894: Samuel died at Warrnambool, Victoria, and was buried with Elizabeth who died 22/4/1877 at the Warrnambool Cemetery.
Samuel's first offence occurred January 1829 and was adjourned to March 1829 where he was sentenced to 18 months prison for stealing flour. Samuel Terrington aged 36 pleaded guilty to having on the 28th September 1835 stolen a gun, the property of Mr Robert Love of Deopham. The prisoner on account of a former conviction in 1829 was sentenced to 14 years transportation. Samuel's goal report was listed as "bad".
