Family connections for Ann (Sandall) are: SANDALL Ann (Sandall) was born about 1771. She was tried at Kingston upon Thames Quarter Sessions Surrey, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 12 1801 after a voyage of 6.5months on NILE CANADA & MINORCA Fleet. She died on 15 6 1821 age50 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. [Some details taken from this Website] ++ an Ann (Sutherland) was born about 1778. She arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 12 1801 after a voyage of 6.5months on Fleet ship NILE. She had a first relationship with Thomas (Mansell/Mansfield his second (2of3) relationship) & produced a child.>>> Ann (Sutherland) does not have an entry on this Website as yet- added by me. However, Ann (Sandall) is found & subsequent information suggests she is the same person. Thomas (Mansell/Mansfield) was born about 1756/9. He was tried at Surrey Assizes in September 1787, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on MATILDA. He was Free by Servitude by 1803 & had a first (1of3) relationship with Ann (Buller). He was recorded in 1802 with Ticket of Leave no.194 sentence expired. He, as Thomas Davis (Mansfield), had a third relationship with Isabella (Sidewell) whom he later married. He is recorded in 1806 with his partner as a bricklayer. He married Elizabeth (Sidewell) on 11 11 1807 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was recorded in 1811 with his wife. He was recorded in 1814 on stores with his wife & child (possibly Hannah (Mansfield)) as constable. He was a carpenter when he died on 25 4 1828 age72 at Benevolent Asylum father of perhaps 2children & was buried at St James CofE Sydney. She is reported in January 1810 at Kissing Point where she suffered a lightning strike which severely scorched her upper body & crippled her limbs. She, with alias (Sandall), died on 27 1 1830 age52 at George St Sydney by visitation of God mother of perhaps 5children & was buried at St James CofE Sydney. William (Tyrrell) was born about 1759. He was tried w/1other for stealing lead sheeting & an iron bar at Southhampton Lent Assizes at Winchester Hampshire, sentenced to 7years for the iron bar & arrived in NSW as a convict on 30 11 1787sic after a voyage of 12months on First Fleet ship ALEXANDER. He married firstly Ann (Wade) on 6 4 1788 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was granted land in 1792. He was Free by Servitude by 1807. He is reported in January 1810 at Kissing Point where he suffered a lightning strike which destroyed his barn & wheat storage & his wife was crippled; his 3children were there. He died on 26 6 1827 age68 father of perhaps 5children & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
