County Sessions.  ISAAC SANDERSON, of the parish of Sebergham, pleaded guilty to a charge of having stolen six large hams, the property of Williamson James,  a farmer in that parish, who had sent them to a blacksmith's shop for the purpose of drying. Sanderson broke open the door, in the dead of the night, and carried off the property. Sentenced to be transported seven years.   Carlisle Patriot, 19 April 1817. At the conclusion of the last Quarter Sessions, Dr. Heysham, visiting Magistrate of the gaol, requested the Sheriff to make immediate application to the Secretary of State for the speedy removal of the convicts under sentence of transportation; with which request Lord Sidmouth readily complied, and on Saturday last an order arrived here for the removal of Isaac Sanderson, Robert Hamilton, John Smith, John Harkness, and Charles Malvell, to the hulks, who set off for their destination at six o'clock on Monday morning.
