Family connections for Thomas (Sanderson) are: SAUNDERSON Thomas (Saunderson) was born in 1745. He married Elizabeth (???). He died in 1814 age about69. Elizabeth (???) was born in 1752. She died in 1822 age about70. Thomas (Saunderson) & Elizabeth (???) produced perhaps 1child: 1.Thomas (Sanderson/Saunderson) was born about 1783 in Warwickshire & became a joiner. He was tried for stealing a mare of John (Humphries) at Shropshire Assizes on 23 3 1814, sentenced to death reprieved to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 4 1815 after a voyage of 6months on INDEFATIGIBLE; he was 5'11.5" rudy complexion light brown hair hazel eyes. He married Isabella (Clarkson her fourth marriage) on 21 8 1815 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was Free by Servitude by 1824. He was issued an initial Ticket of Leave; & another on 31 5 1826 for Parramatta. He was recorded in 1836 as a labourer. He was issued his Certificate of Freedom on 20 11 1837. She was tried for stealing linen probably at Old Bailey, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex gaol delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 16 11 1808 after a voyage of 8months on SPEKE. She had a first relationship (1of4) with Joseph (Brinkley). She had a second relationship (2of4) from 1810 with Richard (Lyons his second relationship). She had a third (3of4) relationship with James (McGowan). She died in 1876 age88 mother of maybe 12known children. Thomas Sanderson was listed as 36 years old on arrival. Native Place: Warwick. Thomas was 5'11½" tall, ruddy complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes. 31/5/1826: TOL Parramatta. This was in lieu of a previous TOL (do not have date of). 20/11/1837: COF Isabella Clarkson arrived per 'Speke' 1808.

Tried and convicted at the Salop Assizes on 23rd March 1814, sentenced to transportation for life. Left England mid October 1814. Ship:- the 'Indefatigable' sailed with 200 male convicts on board of which 2 died during the voyage. Arrived on 26th April 1815. Married convict Isabella Clarkson ('Speke I' 1808) on 21st August 1815 at Parramatta, they had 8 children beyween 1817-1830. Citation details: No 479 Thomas Sanderson prisoner per Indefatigable age 32 of the parish of St John Parramatta and Isabella Clarkson free age 27 were married in this church by banns this 21 day of August 1815 by me Samuel Marsden Thomas signed the register and Isabella made her X mark in the presence of John Farley and Leticia Wright who both made their X marks in the register
