The convict indentures state that Sarah McGillian was 19 years old. She could neither read and write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Tyrone. She was a children's maid. Sarah was convicted of larceny at Tyrone on 16 June 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. She had one prior conviction and served 14 days. Physical attributes: Height 4 feet 11 1/4 inches; complexion fair ruddy and pock pitted; hair brown and eyes dark grey. Transport number 68. Prisoner number 68-38. Comment on Indenture entry states that Sister Mary Ann McMacken, aged 12 years, on board, free.
