Family connections for Sarah (Pick) are: PICK/PEAKE Sarah (Pick/Peake/Peak) was born about 1773. She was tried at Gloucester Assizes, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON. She was an emancipist when she had a first relationship with Richard (Longford his second relationship) with whom she produced 3children & later married.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Richard (Longford) was born about 1768. He produced a family in UK. In 1809 he was detached to 2Company & on 24 4 1810 to Veterans company. He was recorded as late of NSW Corps in 1824. He is recorded in 1828 as are his sons John & William. He produced 5children in his lifetime. They married again when he was still a drummer & she was an emancipist/Free by Servitude on 12 3 1810 at St Phillips CofE Sydney-perhaps due to doubt about legal certainty for the first marriage-they produced 2children. She married Richard (Longford) on 15 9 1824 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She died on 12 8 1826 age53 (as Sarah (Longford wife of Richard) at Parramatta mother of 5children & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta. William (Walbourne/Walburn) was born on 18 7 1790 & baptised on 8 8 1790 at St Phillips CofE Sydney-although Ref:'People...' shows this person as James. He left Norfolk Island with his mother on 6 11 1794. After his parents separation >1800 he went with his father by decree. In December 1800 he enlisted as a private/drummer in NSW Corps with his father & was detached to (Townson)s company until 1805 when he was detached to (Grosser)s company. He was a drummer in 1808. In 1809 he was detached to (Lewis)s company then 6Company. He was transferred to 73rd Regiment. He was still a drummer when he married Sarah (Peake/Peak) emancipist/Free by Servitude again on 12 3 1810 at St Phillips CofE Sydney-perhaps due to doubt about legal certainty for the first marriage. In 1810 he served in Ceylon with 73rd Regiment from 1814. He died on 21 9 1834 age44. In the colony, Sarah married Richard Longford. Richard was in the New South Wales Corps and had arrived in the colony in 1801 aboard the ship 'Minorca'. Richard was a widower with several children in England. They had 3 or possibly 4 children, but all seem to have died as young children. Sarah died, quite young herself in 1826. Richard and one of their children, William, can be located on page 239 of the 1828 Census, together with another of his sons, John, from the previous marriage.
