Baptised Adam William Sawgood 23 Apr 1810 St Leonard, Shoreditch to John and Louisa (nee Baldry) Sawgood. Born 6 Jan 1810. Source baptism record on Ancestry

William Sawgood was convicted at Middlesex, London on 10/01/1828 for Larceny - stealing a stove. 7yr sentence. Last worked for Mr. Hurd, Barbican Scale Maker.

Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) on the ‘Manlius’, arriving 09/11/1828.

Father - John a scale & beam (?)maker, Oxford Market Place.

Single man.
