Prisoner discharged from H M Gaol during the week ending 10 Jan 1872 & 6 Jan 1872. Robert Saywood or Seward, per Pestonjee Bomanjee 2, F.S., tried at S.C. Hobart for larceny, sentenced to 8 years, native of Bristol, 47yrs, 5 feet 1 inch high, dark brown hair, to receive T.L. blue marks centre of forehead. Tasmania Police Gazette, 12th Jan 1872, p8. Prisoner convicted at the Supreme Court, Launceston between the 19 & 21 Mar 1872. Robert Saywood or Seawood, per Pestonjee Bomanjee, T.L., for housebreaking and larceny, sentenced to 10 yrs. Robert Sayward/also sometimes seward was transported for stealing a plate, wearing apparel etc., along with James Burton on board for the same crime. Robert was 21 years old on arrival, he was 5'5.25" tall, single, C of E, and could read and write. 31/10/1890: Robert died at the Invalid Depot.
