On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1825: Thomas SCARFE – free by servitude – Mary 1819, left the Colony (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster M-Z-L 1825).


1824, 18 March: Thomas SCARFE – Certificate of Freedom #118/1975 – labourer; 26, 5’7½”, dark ruddy complexion, dark brown hair and hazel eyes; native place Wexford. Remarks: “Renewed 17 June 1824 No 41/2261 this having been returned mutilated” (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).


1819: Thomas SCARFE 20, 5’7½”, fair ruddy complexion, black hair and hazel eyes (see NSW, Australia, Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).
