Michael Scaysbrook was 19 years old when convicted of 'Stealing from his master'. Michael was 5'6" tall, pale complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes. 15/5/1827: TOL 2/5/1837: CP 4/11/1837: Permission to marry Mary Caulfield (Thomas Harrison 1836). Married at St James, County of Cumberland. Mary arrivied with 2 children, Patrick 6 years old, and one more child that did not survive. Michael and Mary had three children Margaret, Michael and Mary Ann. Michael also had 2 other children before marrying Mary - John born 22/7/1834 and Sarah born 14/9/1834 - mother listed as Sarah. Michael was listed as a sawyer of Brisbane Water. 1845: Michael acquired 10 acres of landing at Kincumber for £10 1854: 30 acres and 14 perches for £30.1.9 14/9/1857: Sold 10 acres to Henry Hunter Lane for £20 25/11/1858: Sold 30 acres and 14 perches to Joseph Frost for £30. 15/4/1872: Michael died at Kincumber, NSW, aged 75 - 'Stoppage of water and Ischusia' and he was buried at St. Pauls Church of England, Kinkumber. Probate: All singular goods, chattels, credits and effects of Michael Scaysbrook deceased was granted to Mary Scaysbrook the widow of the deceased intestate. Intestate died the 15th day of April 1872. Goods sworn at 100 pounds. Letters of administration dated the same day as granted.
