Chester Spring Assizes James Schofield, aged 35 ; George Schofield, aged 24, Thomas Hadfield, aged 33, and John Taylor, aged 54, all woollen-weavers from Saddleworth, for assaulting the highway in the parish of Tintwhistle, James Lawton, and stealing from his person nine promissory notes from the Saddleworth Union Bank.—Guilty—DEATH.
