Crime: Housebreaking; burglary at the house of Ferdinand Leroux of 41 Newgate Street, London on 13 October 1831. Initial sentence: Death recorded and commuted to one year's imprisonment and transportation for life. Annotated: Considered at Report in Council 21 November 1831. Petitioner(s): Edward Scott (the convict), undersigned by Ferdinand Leroux (prosecutor) and 14 inhabitants of Basinghall Street, London and its environs.
