LAW AND POLICE. Gavin Scott, who, after robbing his employers at Glasgow of 8,000£, fled to Marseilles, and was arrested there by Forrester the officer, was convicted on his own confession at the Glasgow Assizes last week, and sentenced to be transported for life Sun, 5 Oct 1841.

Gavin married Phoebe Mansfield on the 11th of January 1851 at her parents William and Maria’s House in Mount Pleasant, Tasmania and they bore six children. Gavin passed (recorded age 54) on the 3rd of July 1875 in Launceston, Tasmania.
