Government servant. Evidence in the trial of Michael Dwyer: Defendant calls Patrick Scott, Government Servant to Wm Garrighan of Sydney – Sworn and questioned by Defendant. Q. Did you ever see Bridget Garrighan and Fleskey (?) together in your Master’s house? A. -I have. Q. Did you overhear any conversation that passed between them? A. Yes – I heard Huskey (?) say to Biddy that anything she would say, he would swear to, for he had a good man, W. Ikin (?) who would back him. Q. Who were they to swear against? A. Petition of Patrick Scott most respectfully states that Your Excellency’s petitioner came to this colony per ship Pilot in the year 1816 and is free by servitude.
