William was 25 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for “Stealing a Letter Bag Containing Letters and Money" and his native place was Melferd, Suffolk. His occupations were listed as a "Farm Labourer/Hemp Dresser". Character Bad 2 times in prison before. Once for a Gig Apron 1 Year once for House Breaking, discharged, once for Hemp discharged William was 5’ 4 ¼” tall, single, brown hair, hazel eyes, sallow complexion Man & Woman above elbow Horse Bird Moon Woman Mermaid Dog & Basket Anchor & half moon inside rt. Arm. 21/4/1851: married Louisa Heat (St Vincent), they had 7 children. The Mercury, Hobart: SCOTT.-On March 26, 1904, at his residence, 100 Park-street, William John, dearly beloved husband of Louisa Scott, aged 89 years, leaving a wife, two sons, and three daughters to mourn their loss. Beloved by all that knew him. 17/1/1920 The Mercury, Hobart: SCOTT.-On January 15, 1920, at 67 Melville-street, Hobart, Louisa, relict of the late William Scott, of Cearns Bay, in the 89th year of her age.
