The names of the prisoners who died during the voyage of the Hibernia are David Langly, Jonathan Cheana, alias Eastoe, and William Selsby, formerly a very eccentric character in this Settlement by the name of David Belton. Hobart Town Gazette, 15 May 1819.




At these Assizes, which finished on Monday afternoon, four prisoners were capitally convicted and received sentence of death; viz. ... William Selsby, for stealing 3 heifers, the property of Samuel Ireland, of Gislingham; ... Bendale alone was left for execution here. Bury and Norwich Post, 29 July 1818.
