John Senior, Gaol delivery for City of London, at Old Bailey. 14 Apr 1790, seven years. --------------------------------------------------------------- Trial at the Old Bailey, 24 Apr 1790. 373. JOHN SENIOR was indicted for stealing, on the 18th of March , two pieces of glass, called crown glass, value 3 s. 9 d. the property of Elizabeth Burgess , widow . HENRY BUCKMASTER sworn. I am a shoe-maker: I rent part of Mr. Burgess's house, No. 4, Little Friday-street . About eight in the morning, the prisoner went into the house; I was at work; he came out in a few minutes with two pieces of glass; I followed him, and brought him back; he said he had a family, and would I let him go; the prosecutrix came down, and the prisoner was secured. THOMAS LOVELL sworn. I am the constable: I had these two pieces of glass from Mr. Burgess. (Deposed to.) GUILTY . Transported for seven years . Tried by the London Jury before Mr. Justice HEATH.
