Family connections for Patrick (Shannon) are: SHANNON Patrick (Shannon) may have been born in 1759/67/69. He was tried at Kings co. Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 9 1791 after a voyage of 6months on QUEEN. He was Free by servitude by 1799 & had a first relationship (3of4) with Margaret (Holmes her third (3of4) relationship).>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Margaret (Holmes) was born about 1768. She was tried w/1other for theft of calico, on 4 11 1789, of Edward (Bowerbank) at Old Bailey on 9 12 1789, sentenced to 7years, held probably at London or Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship MARY ANN; she was Protestant. She had a first relationship (1of4) with William (Morrison) sailor on the ship. She was Free by Servitude by 1799. She had a second (2of4) relationship with William (Smith). She had a fourth relationship with Joseph (Smith his second relationship) whom she married on 3/4 10 1812 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. She is recorded in 1828 with her husband at Portland Head. She died on 20 9 1850 age82 mother of perhaps 4known children & was buried at MacDonald River Hawkesbury.
