Robert and Elizabeth Sharman's son robert Sharman, was transported to Van Diemens LAnd in 1827 per Layton. He died in Hobart hospital in 1828. https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/sharman/robert/112968

Robert Sharman for breaking into the dwelling-house of James Dye, of North Walsham, in the night of the 20th of April last, and stealing thereout various articles.—Prisoner pleaded Guilty.—Sentence not passed. British Neptune, 15 Aug 1819. -------------------------------------------------------------------- — ... and Robert Sharman, a boy aged 11, charged as an accomplice with R. Sharman the elder, were also acquitted. Bury and Norwich Post, 18 Aug 1819. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The following convicts were lately removed from the Castle to Portsmouth, viz. John Wilson, Samuel Riches, Thomas Poole, Benj. Amis, Robert Sharman, Win. Waters, Thomas Dawson, and John Steele, for their respective terms transportation. Norfolk Chronicle, 9 Oct 1819.

Sir, I most humbly beg leave to state for your humane consideration; That I have an only son, a prisoner of the Crown, in the name of Robert Sharman, in Government employ at George Town, Port Dalrymple, whose character will bear the strictest scrutiny for honesty, sobriety and industry, he having resided with Mr Wilson the Chief Constable at George Town, from his arrival in this Colony whom he refers to for his character, she therefore most humbly solicits the favor of an order to take him off the store and permission for him to come to Sydney to his mother, the first consequence for which indulgence, she will ever be in duty bound to pray, Ann Sharman. From F. Goulburn, Colonial Secretary. 22 Feb 1822. To Mr Hutchinson, Superintendent of convicts. I beg to be made acquainted with the character of Ann Sharman, per Broxbornbury, now free by Certificate and residing in Sydney. Assignment of Convicts. April 27 1822.
