Both Robert's parents were transported, his father when he was aged about 11, his mother a year or two later. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Sharman (aged 11), for burglary in the house of Kesiah Murphy, of Bracondale, on the 27th of April last, and for stealing thereout various articles, her property and Elizabeth Freeman for receiving the same, knowing them to stolen, were acquitted: Norfolk Chronicle, 21 August, 1819. -------------------------------------------------------------------- and Robert Sharman, a boy aged 11, charged as an accomplice with R. Sharman the elder, were also acquitted. Bury and Norwich Post, 18 Aug 1819. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Norwich City Sessions. … and Robert Sharman, for stealing two pairs of highlows, sentenced to 7 years transportation.
