Christopher Shaughnessy and William Lynch "for highway robberies on Mary ollins and Mary Crawford —to be hanged don Saturday 7th September next [i.e. 1793]." per Freemans Journal (Dublin), Tuesday, July 23, 1793, p.4. Shaughnessy's sentence was commuted to transportation for life since he arrived at NSW on Marquis Cornwallis in February 1796 two and a half years after his trial. Lynch did not arrive so was probably hanged, otherwise would have been commuted by going into army or navy.
