Family connections for Elizabeth (Shaw) are: SHAW Elizabeth (Shaw) arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON. She was Free by Servitude by 1812 when she married James (Grice his second marriage) emancipist & produced 1child. She died on 29 3 1816 & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta. Some details taken from this Website James (Grice), born about 1773, was tried at Essex Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 2 6 1797 after a voyage of 9months on GANGES. It seems he had a first relationship with Isabella (Melville her second (2of3) relationship)-he was recorded with her in Sydney in 1822. He produced 1known child in his lifetime.
