An inquest was held at Hobart Town, on the 15th ultimo, upon the body of James Shaw, per Asia 5. A verdict of found drowned was returned. Tasmania Police Gazette, 8th April 1870, p60.
James received his certificate of freedom in 1846.He was found drowned at Hobart 8\4\1870.
