The Convict Indentures state that Daniel Shea was 21 years old. He neither read nor write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of Cork. He was a farm labourer. Daniel was convicted of stealing wool (no separate code for wool) in Cork City on 30 September 1835 and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 8 1/4 inches; complexion brown and freckled; hair brown and eyes grey. Transport number 90. Convict number 36-1893.
1837 NSW General Muster records state that Daniel Shea was assigned to the General Hospital in Sydney.
Received Certificate of Freedom on 7 April 1843 (number 43/554).
