Cornelius Sheehan was transported for Life,Convicted at Cork County Assizes on 21 march 1823 of Administering unlawful oaths. He was aged 24, 5ft 6in tall, grey eyes, brown hair and fair complexion FJ, 1 April 1823, p4: "Saturday March 21 [1823] Mr Justice Burton resumed the Crown County business this morning ... the only trial of interest up to 3 o'clock, was that of Cornelius Sheehan for having in the night of 27th October last, at Lisnagouny, with several others, feloniously assaulted Mr Henry Mansfield Franks, and demanding arms from him; and in another count with administering an unlawful oath to him. He was found guilty and sentenced to be transported for life."
