On Wednesday morning, at five o’clock the following persons, under rule of transportation passed through Carlow, escorted by the Governor of the Jail, on their way to Kingstown, where they are to be detained on board the hulk Essex, until further orders from Government -—James and Thomas Egan,  convicted of murder, —John Kelly, ditto—Denis Duff, James Sheridan, Andrew Mahon and John Walsh. James Sheridan was 20 years old on arrival, his native place was Wexford County. 1/5/1833: COF 10/8/1842: Married Catherine Blake (Diamond 1837)at Bathurst - they had 9 children. No exact date of death - but before 1864. 7/11/1864: Catherine married Edward Murray and hand 1 child. Catherine died 7/6/1887 at Forbes, NSW
