Convict Indent, per ship Albemarle. George Shingle, tried Assizes for the County of Stafford, 21 July 1790, fourteen years.
On Thursday morning (Judge Buller being confined with the gout) the trials at Stafford Assize commenced before Serjeant Adair: … W. Lithgoe and G. Shingler, for stealing Cloth from a Whitening yard, and W. Riley, for receiving stolen Goods, are to be transported fourteen Years. Oxford Journal, 31 July 1790.
