James Short is also my x3 G G grandfather and there is a Henry angel who also came out on same convict boat who is also my x3 GGGrandfather interesting yes looking for more info on James

James Short was born in Birmingham. Colonial Secretary: SHORT, James. Per "Neptune", 1818 1825 Jun: On return of convicts maintained & mustered by John Oxley; in 1823 & 1824. 1825 Oct 28: Convict in the service of John Oxley at the last two musters. 1827: TOL 1830: TOL St Vincents. 15/8/1835: CP

another victim has been added to that vice, intemperance,of the name of James Short a very old servant of the late captain Cogill, of Bedervale. information supplied by Sydney Morning Herald (NSW:1842-1954)Sat 21 July 1855.

James Short arrived in Australia 5/5/1818 he was assigned to Oxley and Goghill he worked at Kirkam Farm,Camden, Bedervale Farm, Braidwood for John Coghill,as well as other farmes in the district. He died at Araluen goldfields 11/7/1855 he is buried at Araluen cemetery.
