MURDERED; by William Riley [Countess of Harcourt] at Port Arthur on the 16 October 1835 1836 - Colonial Times. Tue 12 Jan 1836. Page 7. SUPREME COURT—CRIMINAL SIDE. William Riley stood charged with wilfully and feloniously assaulting Joseph Shuttleworth, with a pick-axe, and thereby inflicting certain wounds, of which wounds the said Joseph Shuttleworth died.
