Partner - Wife; Ann White (also Scott/Murray) was a convict, transported on Neptune 1790. She and Richard cohabited on Norfolk from about 1804 but did not marry until after they went to Tasmania, 1814.




Leeds Intelligencer Mon 8 Sep 1794 p. 3 At Warwick assizes, John Crowder, (aged only 12 years) for stealing a quantity of brass out of the shop of his masters, Messrs. Timmins, was fined one shilling - but Richard Sides, for receiving the same, knowing it to be stolen, was ordered to be transported for fourteen years.
Superintendent of blacksmiths at Georgetown Tasmania in 1814-16 married Ann white/Scott/Murray in 1814 @ Launceston Tasmania came to Tasmania on the Lady Nelson 1814 with 4 children, from Norfolk island 1790 -1814 after conviction time. Died 1844 after his wife Ann died 1820.
