Family connections for Thomas (Sim) are: SIM/SIMMS Thomas (Sim/Simms) was born about 1778. He was tried at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to 7years, held at London Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 12 7 1806 after a voyage of 6months on FORTUNE. He was an emancipist when he married Mary (Frederick) on 2 2 1824 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He is recorded in 1825 muster as having absconded from his employment on 28 2 1825, although his sentence should have expired about 1812. He was a carpenter when he died on 4 11 1830 age35 in Sydney & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. [Some details taken from this Website] Mary (Frederick) was born on 26 1 1801 in England. She arrived in NSW with her parents on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON. She was baptised on 19 11 1836 age36 at Christ Church Castlereagh.
