On Friday, Susan Jordan, 20, under sentence of transportation for 14 years: Ann Simon, 46, and Elizabeth Thorn, 43, 7 years each, were removed from our City Gaol, in order to being placed on board the ship George Hibbert, at Woolwich, bound for Sidney, New South Wales. On the 8th inst. Eliza Herring, 25, under sentence of transportation for 7 years, was removed from the Devon County Gaol, to the George Hibbert, at Woolwich:  North Devon Journal, 24 July 1834.

Ann Simon, 46, for stealing 56 lbs. of soap, coals, candles, &e., the property of Mr. Clench, at the New London Inn. R. Southcombe a waiter to Mr. Clench, in February last went to a room belonging to the prisoner, in Paris- street, when he found the articles charged in the indictment. Several witnesses were called to prove the prisoner was in the possession of the room, and the things specified as stolen. The Jury after a short consultation returned a verdict of guilty. Transported 7 years. North Devon Journal, 17 April 1834.

New South Wales, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869 for Ann Simmon no 39/499 dated 8/4/1839. Allowed to stay in Sydney as long as she stays in the service of Mr W Dargin of Castlereagh Street. Altered to Parramatta 28.8.1839, then back to Sydney 1/9/1840
