HIGH COURT OF JUSTICIARY On Wednesday Isaac Simpkins was placed at the bar , accused of having broke into the house of Matthew Pemberton, Esq . in Albany Street , and stolen at different times, from a drawer, 25 sovereigns, in the month of July last. The prisoner pleaded guilty before the Court and Jury, to the charges libelled.  The public prosecutor restricted the libel. The Scotsman, 13 Nov 1824

Isaac was born in Gibralter. Son of Isaac Simpkins, a soldier in the 50th Foot. Isaac jnr. was also a soldier in the 9th Foot prior to becoming a gentleman's servant.
