1833: On arrival in VDL, William Sinclair was listed as 32 years old, a ploughman from County Antrim and single (see http://search.archives.tas.gov.au/ImageViewer/image_viewer.htm?CON18-1-9,115). 1833: Muster - assigned to James Grant (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1835: Muster - assigned to J Grant Esq (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1840, April: He received his Free Certificate No.271 (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-40$init=CON31-1-40p43). 1841: Muster - William Sinclair - listed as free by servitude (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849).

1833, 1 April: William Sinclaire [sic], aged 42, was sent from Edinburgh and received aboard the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich. He was sent from there for transportation on 11 June (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
