James Singleton, for with others assaulting James Slattery, a boatman, and stripping him of his coat, hat, and shoes, about 12  o’clock at night, on Arthur’s Quay.— The prisoner was found guilty of felony, but not of the assault,  and sentenced to seven years' transportation. Limerick Chronicle, 11 March 1826. This day, the following convicts were transmitted from the County Gaol, for Cork, viz.—James Magrath, Jeffry Connell, Timothy Enright, John Sullivan, D. Neville, Michael Madigan, Maurice Dowling, Michael Healy, William Barry, James Ryan, Denis Molony, and L. Sexton.. Also, from the City:—Richard Jones, James Deardon. J. Singleton, T, Barret, Patrick Carthy, D. Finn, ~ Ryan, Thomas Deely, Cornelius Deely, John Mcinerney, Cornelius Normoyle, J. Brazil, W. Hurley, and Patrick Grady . Limerick Chronicle, 26 April 1826.
