Ann SKELLEY was convicted at Liverpool, Lancaster on 6 July 1835 for stealing. Previous conviction. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Arab' arriving 25 April 1836. Ship Surgeon's report: "good". Widow, 1 child. Proper name: "C....ie" (Currie ?) Aged 38 yrs; plain cook & housemaid; 5' height; fresh complexion; brown hair; dark Hazel eyes. Native place of birth: Cork, Ireland. Work services in the Colony. Several notes of misconduct. 4 Sept 1868: at Launceston - stealing books. 6 mths hard labour.
